5-B: Reflection on Image Editing Portfolio. November 26, 2012
1. My strong parts are from the pictures varitey. A lot of them were from Seattle but they were still different and unique. The edits color was done well because it enhances the picture without losing it's original strenght.
2. I didn't do a very good job with photoshop and I didn't like photoshop very well which probably had a lot to do with it.
3. I'd say my best edit is one of the cities with the bus to the side, which is what it orginally looked like. Then I added the mountains to the background and fadded it so that it would look like they belonged there, and added the tip of a plane fadded so it looked like it was barely in the picture. Finally I tweeked the lighting a little bit so the picture had the just right amount of exposure. I think this was the best edit because it gives multiple things to look at and just looks cool.
4. I think the best website was pixlr because it was one that was easy to operate for multiple skill levels and had lots of options for a good varitey of edits.
5, The best filter for editing depends on the picture. One filter I really do like is the vintage style ones because it keeps the pictures general vibe but enhances it.
6. The quickest way was with a filter because it can all get done at once. Otherwise you could just take it all one step at a time so it depends on how much time you want to put itno it. I usually stick to a filter
7. I learned that edits take a long time to get through if you want them all to get done well so it's best to get them done over a span of time instead of doing it all at once so that it doesnt become boring. I could apply to this in life by getting all of my projects done over time instead of doing it all at once.
8. The design process of this project consisted of me looking at pictures from my file, putting it on photoshop, and attempting to edit it. After I was done with photoshop I picked pictures I liked from my laptop and edited them from pixlr. Finally I was finished with all my edits.
9. Yes because it's good for everyone to learn how to edit their photos even though others already know how, I think that Mr. Purdy needs to explain photoshop more or not teach it at all tho becuase it seemed a little useless to have very little knowledge of it.
