These are the questions in the month of August.
1. My project is a series of paintings. Four of them actually. One large painting of the ocean with a falling sandcastle and a mountain/rocky area in the background. My three other small paintings go along with it; a close up of the mountains, a boy building sandcastles, and sailboats out on the ocean. All of these paintings are framed and done in watercolor paint. It took me about two weeks or so for the large one (done in the summer) and two weeks for the 3 other small ones done during school.
2. I think the good parts of my project is the flow of the painting(s) and the relaxed vibe coming from them because I wanted to do something summery and that fit it.
3. I could have done better with doing it at an appropriate time. I worked on it at school fine but when I took it home I only worked on it late at night. Just like this reflection I'm doing now. I think this because I need sleep.
4. The theme of the project, like I said, is summer; relaxed and care free, peaceful. I didn't chose to go too deep with this project but I suppose it means I am reluctant to let the summer end. However I am only trying to communicate the serene feeling of the beach. You can see these examples in my paintings with the simplicity of the paintings, yet still cute and done well.
5. Important elements include but are not limited to the ocean and the mountains. I think they are both important because I really love both those things.
6. Important principles are the flow of the sky, because the sky is beautiful and deserves to be captured that way. And the cool and warm colors mixed in just the right amount because the creates balance.
7. Sometimes I could maybe put my schoolwork before things I'd much rather do like hang out with people. Although I do enjoy art so that's not too bad really. This works for life in all things virtually; don't procrastinate.
Exceeding
8. First I listened to a song by Mayday Parade, then it inspired me. Next I drew out a picture in my head. After that I sketched a little on a watercolor paper and painted the sky and sand, followed by the ocean, and rocks. After the final painting was over I thought of littler paintings that would look nice with it, and minis the first step repeated the process.
9. I did the project the way I did because that's the way I saw it. It was planned in the sense that I drew it out first. I changed a few things. One major thing was that there used to be a girl in the large painting and I decided not to add her so it wouldn't subtract from the theme.
10. This was worth while because I like it and that's what really counts for this month to me. This September project I might do something about myself since my birthday is this month.

Questions for the month of September
1. My project is a picture of me that doesn't really look that much like me. I used charcoal and colored pencil to make it and it took me pretty much the whole month to make it if you count having to make the mat as well.
2. The good parts of my project was the experience I got from it because I don't draw as much as I paint, and I did a pretty good job of keeping the proportions right in the picture to my drawing.
3. I could have done better with making the mat but I've never made one before, and maybe a little better with making the face darker and shades the same as the
picture.
4. The theme of the project is it's kind of a darker picture and the meaning is I see myself completely differently then most people in my life do, and that's something that I struggle with at times but overcome. The details obviously would be the use of darker colors/shades.
5. The first thing I think is important in this design for elements is the colors. All dark including black charcoal, and different shades of browns with a few peach colors. This is important in getting the feeling across apposed to brighter/happier colors. The second element that's important is the shading. For example the eye being mostly covered on one side. This shows it as more of a mystery and abstract, adding to the fact of being seen differently.
6. The important principles of the design are the strokes of the pencil and the way it all fits and goes the same way. These are important in keeping the design unified.
7. I learned that it's good to experiment before starting a project because I experimented and found something I really didn't like, and I'm glad I didn't try it on the real thing. This can apply to life because you should try something out before you make a major decision on it.
8. First I tried to think of something cool to make for this project, then I remember I had a picture I took that I had been wanting to draw, next I did a rough sketch of it, experimented, and finally worked on the paper itself and created a border.
9. I did the project the way I did because that's how the picture looked, and I stayed pretty true to the pic, although I did get rid of the blanket that was in the original.
10. This project was worth it because I'm pretty much happy with it, and next I'm going to (hopefully) do spray paint which I've never done before.

October Project Questions:
1. My main project was a painting of a duck for Jess. I used acrilic paint to make it, and it took a decent amount of time and creativity.
2. The good parts of the project are that she'll really like that it's of ducks, and the cartoon strip of the colorful ducks add a lot to it and I think this because I feel the painting would be a little boring otherwise.
3. I could have done a little better with the edges between the background and the rubber ducky itself, because I hit the duck a little bit and that really bugs me. Otherwise it's alright.
4. The theme of the painting is simple. Ducks. It's a painting I could see hanging up in a bathroom or something. I made it because she's like my sister and sent me money for the trip, and to show her that means a lot I painted her something we have an inside joke with. I think she'll really like it. That's as deep as the meaning gets.
5. The most important elements to this design are color and form. The colors are warm and bring kind of a happy vibe so the painting which makes it something you want to look at. The form is important because without it the picture wouldn't flow and it wouldn't look right (for example, if I put random ducks random places instead of in the strip, it would probably look weird.
6. The most important principles to this design are untiy and emphasis. The unity is important because thats what makes the painting work. The rubber
duck and then cartoon ducks just fit together, compared to a real duck and then random rubber ducks or something like that.(wouldnt look good). And then the emphasis because it gets the point of the painting across. LIke the main duck is bright yellow, so it's emphasized the most.
7. I learned from this project that I don't want to do spray paint as a outterspace painting because that's what my original project was going to be. I can apply this to life in that you should try something before you make a big decison on it. ( I made the bottle first, then decided I didnt want to go further with spray paint.)
8. First I thought of an idea for my sister, then I sketched a rubber duck on canvas, along with bubbles, painted the duck and bubbles, thought of the cartoon strip and added that, painted the background and outlined the cartoon strip with black paint, and finally painted the strip. finsihed.
9. I did the project this way because it was how I thought of it. It may not have been the best order but it turned out fine and that's just they way my brain works sometimes. I didnt orginally plan to even do this project, so I just kinda went with it.
10. This was a worthwhile project because I know it will make Jess happy and I had fun doing it. Next I'm going to do a Seattle themed project since that's where we're going next month.

November Reflection Questions
1. My project is a journal that I wrote in everyday while we were out in Seattle. I then put pictures from that day in the journal so they all fit together to tell the story. I used scizzors, glue, modgeposh(?), and a pen to write. It sounds simple but I wrote a lot and it ended up being a lot of work. It took me about the whole month to make.
2. The strong parts of my project are the pictures because they are good quailty and interesting to look at with a variety.
3. I could have done a better job with writting neatly so other people could read it or so I could better in a year or two from now.
4. The theme is Seattle and the fact that I picked doing this for my project shows that I want to remember as much as I can from the trip and writting with pictures is a great way to do that. So I guess that would be the deeper meaning.
5. An important element to this project would form, or the design of it. Its about the presentation. I cant just slab some pictures on there and hope for the best, I need to pick a way I think looks appealing to the eye.
6. The important principles of the design are the message trying to get across and the personality to it because that can capture the trip in a way that just a plain journal could not.
7. I learned from this project that a photojournal is a good way of keeping track of all that ive done on a trip. I can use it in the future for other trips I go on.
8. First I wrote the journal, then I picked out pictures that fit for each page, next I printed them and designed a layout of each page, finally I glued them on.
9. I planned out my project and I did it this way because I didnt want my journal to be too hard to follow along with.
10. This was a worthwhile project because we went on the trip so it's fitting, my next project will be completely different because I want it to be.

December Reflection:
1. My project is a painting of Seattle and it turned out to be a lot of work. I made the canvas and used acrillic paints to paint it.
2. I think the street is a strong part of my project because it flows nicely and the shading is done well.
3. I could have done a lot better with the red building and wanna go back and change it because I dont like the windows or how much it stands out.
4. The meaning of this project is that I really like Seattle at night and that's why I painted it.
5. The important elements to this project are space and shape. Space is important because everything had to be placed just right to create the right flow. Shape is important because it would look odd if everything wasn't at least close to the same shape and it creates a feel for the sceen.
6. The important principles of the project include emphasis and contrast. Emphasis because eye is drawn to certain parts of the painting and makes it pop. Those parts are emphasized. Also, contrast, because without the contrast they eye wouldn't be drawn to those parts as much (like the brighter things and the lights along the street.
7. I learned from this project that even when you think you're done, theyre is still more to do. and sometimes the things you think will be easy end up being the hardest. This can imply in general to things in life.
8. I took a picture of the city at night, which inspired me to paint it. So first I did a really quick rough sketch, made a canvas, sketched out on the canvas much better then the rought sketch, and then painted it.
9. I did the project the way I did because thats the way we're suppose to do it. It was planned and I did make a few changes in colors and cut offs.
10. Yes because my mom got it as a christmas present. Next i will be doing another painting.

Reflections for the month of January
1. My project is a painting of a girl with headphones on and it's done with acrilic paint and it took me most the month to make but I worked on it a lot outside of class.
2. The girls hair is a pretty strong part of my project and also shading of her face because it makes her seem more real.
3. I could have done a better job with the background maybe? or with the headphones I suppose because they're not perfect.
4.. The painting makes you think of what she's listening to and wonder about her personality. To me, it seems like she's listening to alternative rock by her look and the style in general.
5. The elements of the painting are value and color. Value because that's what caused it to look real and color because that's what makes the statement, like the painting would seem so different if I had givem the girl blonde hair and pink highlights or something, and it would seem like she was listening to pop music instead.
6. The important priciplies of the project are unity and emphasis. This is because the untiy is what ties the project together and makes everything look nice, and emphasis is put on the red headphones to show the painting is on music which is important to me.
7. I learned from this project that Im pretty strong with painting people and I can apply to that to my future projects becase I now what Im strong in.
8. First I thought of something I wanted to paint, then I did a pre.design, next I sketched it out on canvas I had already bought, and then I started to paint, starting with the background then the hair and face, and last was the tanktop.
9. I planned the project so thats why I did it the way I did. I made a few changes like color of the tanktop.
10. It was a worthwhile project because I really like how it turned out and I can hang it up in my room now. Im going to do a scrapbook for my next project because it's valentines day month.

Reflection for the month of February
1. My project is a scrapbook and a painting. The scrapbook is of me and Aaron and I made it for him for valentines day, and the painting is of a guy fishing and I also gave him that. The painting didn't take a super long time just because I worked on it during class a lot and came in during some study halls, and since the painting was small. The scrapbook took a really long time though.
2. The good parts of my project are that it is well done, thoughtful, and creative. I think this because the overall results were strong and I thought of the ideas on my own.
3. I could have done a better job with the scrapbook because there's always room for improvement on those it seems but I did a good job still.
4. The theme of my project is sort of fishing because that's what the guy in the painting was doing and there's some of that in the scrapbook too, another thing that ties it all together is things that are loved because Aaron loves to fish but he also loves the other things in the scrapbook too.
5.The important elements in my design/project were space and color. Space for the scrapbook because the way the pictures are put together means a lot and can change how the page seems. Color for the painting because the sunset was focused on a lot and that has a lot of colors.
6. The most important principles of the project include balance and pattern, both for the scrapbook mostly. This is because each page has to have a certain balance to it to look good, otherwise things would seem all over the place. With that pattern becomes important too because the pattern of the book needs to make sense.
7. I learned from this project that everything has a way of changing and sometimes there's nothing you can do about it. I can apply this to life by excepting it and doing what I can with what I have.
8. For the scrapbook first I sketched out ideas of what I wanted each page to look like and what pictures I would want on it. Then I went to hobby lobby with an idea of what kind of pages I need and started to create them. I also bought stickers and stuck in sketches that went well with the project. For the painting I drew it out first and then just went with it.
9. I planned the scrapbook because I didn't want to buy more papers then I needed to and waste money, which was a smart idea because in the past I found it is easy to get carried away and buy more then needed. That's why I did the project the way I did.
10. This was a worthwhile project because it touched someone else and made him happy, which is always good to do with art. I'm having a hard time deciding what to do with next weeks project but I have a magazine bowl l already made for exceeding.

Reflection for the month of March
1. My project is a collage for the four girls who went on the Ukraine trip and my exceeding is a watercolor painting of a girl with dramatic makeup. It took me the whole month to finish making it.
2. The strong parts of my project are the arrangements of the pictures/design of it because each one is unique and looks nice.
3. I could have done better with getting it laminated because that took me a really long time to get done.
4. The deeper meaning of the project is that I wanted to make it up to the girls for not going on the Ukraine trip because I felt bad that I wasn't able to.
5. An important element to this project would form, or the design of it. Its about the presentation and how it appeals to the eye.
6. The most important principle to the project is emphasis because the eye needs to go to the right picture and have a flow about the rest of it.
7. I learned that it's important to get the pictures taken ahead of time because it took my phone forever to send them which was a problem.
8. First I picked paper that each girl would like, then I picked four pictures each, next I printed them and set up the papers in many different ways. After I picked my favorite I glued them on. Next I found a Bible verse for each and glued that on too. Finally I laminated the whole thing.
9.I planned it because I wanted it to look good and not like I just through something together.
10. It was a worthwhile project because I'm sure each of them will really like it and I hope it makes a difference.

Reflection for the month of April
1. My project is a painting of a black raven on a branch with blown watercolor paint washing over the side of the painting.
2. The strong parts of my project are the creativity and colors because it's unique and looks nice together.
3. I could have done a better job with the branch the raven is on but overall it still looks very good.
4. The meaning of the project is to be interpreted for yourself. However, to me it means there is light within the dark.
5. An important element to this project is color because that shows so much expression and makes the painting.
6. An important principle to the project is balance because if I had used to much of something, like blown watercolor paint, then it would offset the painting and take away from it.
7. I learned that some projects are the best when they're not planned and you just go with it.
8. The first thing I did was mess around in my sketch book because I couldn't think of an idea, next I realized it was almost time to turn in my project so I decided to do watercolor. Then in anatomy class I just thought of the raven in my head, and finally in art class I made it and just went with the flow and really liked the results.
9. I did not plan it, and it turned out well.
10. It was a worthwhile project because it's something I can be proud of.
