My Top 25
133 photos
Refletion:
1. The strong parts of my top 25 portraits are capturing emotion and a variety because it's not just a picture of someones face posing.
2. I could have done a better job of getting pictures of people on my list like more friends and my siblings because a larger divercity of people would have been better.
3. I think my best photo (or at least one of my favorites) is one of Abbie laughing. It's a close up of her, with her hair falling in her face a little and the city in the background but blurred out. I like it best because she looks so happy and carefree.
4. The values in my portfolio has variety. Some pictures are darker and light is shinning on some angles of it and other parts are dark and hard to see. Most of my pictures, however, are used with natural lighting outside. Used without flash mostly. I used this because most my shots were outside.
5. I captured people doing their own thing and being themselves the most. I captured happy, sad, and frustrated emtions and I also had some personalities mixed in with the emotions. This is easy to tell in the pictures by expressions.
6. I mostly emphasized on humans at their natural state (a lot not looking or focusing on the camera) because I find this the most interseting and when someone doesn't know that you're watching it's the easiest to capture how they are.
7. I learned that taking pictures of people not posing isn't always easy (especially at a school environment) but if you think creativily it is still possible to get good shots. I can apply this to life by thinking out of the box and making the best of my situations.
8. I took a lot of shots at school. I also used some I took from when I went to Texas, and finally I took some over the weekend when Abbie and I went to waterloo. This wasn't really planned except at the school.
9, This is a worthwhile project because it's a good experence and people have the chance to learn things about themselves. You could make it a lot better by allowing us to go places besides the school because that got really boring and I used less then half of my top 25 from the school even though most my shots where taken from there.
